Apart from the two teams mentioned above, there are four teams participating in the Asian tournament this year, namely Indian cricket team, Pakistan cricket team, Bangladesh cricket team and Hong Kong cricket team.

    All six nations have different situation when it comes to paying salaries to their players. BCCI is the richest board among all teams participating in the Asia Cup this year, but fans always wonder what are the central contract values of the team captains. So, here’s a list of those figures.

    1. Asia Cup winning captain Rohit Sharma – INR 7 crore per year

    Rohit Sharma led India to the trophy in 2018. Now, in 2022, he is the full-time skipper of the team. He has an A+ contract with BCCI which pays him INR 7 crore per year in addition to match fees and brand endorsements.

    2. Babar Azam – PKR 2.4 crore per year

    Babar Azam is the captain of Pakistan, and he is placed in the A category for PCB’s red-ball and white-ball contracts. The red-ball contract pays him PKR 10.50 lakh per month, while the white-ball contract is worth PKR 9.50 lakh per month.

    3. Shakib Al Hasan – USD 57,000 per year

    According to reports, Bangladesh cricket team skipper Shakib Al Hasan has an annual retainer fee of USD 57,000 from the BCB. He gets paid extra for the match fees.

    4. Dasun Shanaka – USD 100,000 per year

    Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka is the highest pay bracket of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). As per reports, his annual retainer fee is USD 100,000.

    5. Mohammad Nabi – 1 crore

    There is no reliable data source available for the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) salaries, but captain Mohammad Nabi is reportedly having an annual retainer fee of 1 crore.

    6. Nizakhat Khan – USD 11,500 per month

    In 2014, Hong Kong’s cricket governing body introduced central contracts, where the highest category had an allowance of USD 11,500 per month. There is no update on whether the contracts have been updated or the salaries have been increased, so it can be assumed that Hong Kong skipper Nizakhat Khan has that contract.
