The Indian Premier League’s franchise Rajasthan Royals decided to start 2022 with a lineup of targets/aims for the new year. But the franchise received a serious wake up call from former New Zealand cricketer Scott Styris.
The franchise indicated their hope of getting their hands on the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy in this year’s IPL and getting awaiting appraisal, other than that, they also added moving up the ladder in Styris’ prediction rankings as one of their aim in their “2022 Goals.”
The erstwhile New Zealand cricketer had released his power rankings with cricket fans before the kick-off of the UAE leg of the IPL 2021. He had placed Rajasthan at the bottom, but in reality, the team finished in seventh place out of eight franchises, ahead of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

And as when Scott Styris saw the post on Twitter, 46-year-old former cricketer simply retweeted it saying that they should be realistic with their goals.
Scott Styris’ tweet reads “At least make them realistic” and ending it off with a winking emoji.

Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021
Under a new leader in Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals finished 2nd last in the points table for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who didn’t had the best of season at all.
Rajasthan Royals could only win 5 matches throughout their IPL 2021 campaign, and lost 9 matches. Even though the team didn’t had a good season, captain Sanju Samson had a excellent season, scoring 484 runs from 14 matches, finishing as the team’s top run scorer.
And with the IPL now has hit the reset button before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Rajasthan Royals has retained Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal out of possible 4 retentions.
