Shubman Gill pulls leg on KL Rahul with a cheeky post on their way back to India

With the Asia Cup 2022 in sight, Indian players have now returned home after successfully finishing the Zimbabwe tour. However, some players, including KL Rahul, who will take part in the Asia Cup, have all reached the United Arab Emirates directly. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill, who captivated everyone with his batting performance in the Zimbabwe tour, posted a cheeky post for KL Rahul.

Actually, Gill has posted a picture in his Instagram story, in which he is accompanied by Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan and Ishan Kishan. In this picture, Rahul’s eyes are somewhat closed. Posting this picture on his Instagram story, Gill wrote, “When KL Rahul bhai doesn’t get his beauty sleep.”

For Gill, the tour of Zimbabwe has been special in his international career so far. Actually, Gill scored the first century of his international career during the third and the final ODI match of the series. He scored 130 runs in 97 balls in the third and last ODI played at Harare Sports Club.

Apart from this, he scored the highest 245 runs in the entire series, due to which he was also named Player of the Series.

After the series win, captain Rahul had praised Gill’s batting and said that despite having so little international experience, he bats wisely. “He has batted well throughout the series and has done well in West Indies and IPL. Haven’t seen him in overconfidence. It’s nice to see him use his form when he bats. Gill has not played many international matches, yet he has a great temper and temperament.”

Note that Shubman Gill has not been picked for the Asia Cup 2022 which is to be played in T20 format and Gill is not a part of the Indian team’s T20I setup. Meanwhile, from the squad that played Zimbabwe, KL Rahul is one of the prominent member who will play in the Asia Cup 2022 and is Team India’s vice captain.
