We all have played street or gully cricket in our childhood and that is exactly this statement of Rohit is much more relatable.

A fan-made the use of the opportunity and asked, “How much was your first paycheck worth and at what age did you get it? How did you spend it, with friends or family?”

Sharma stated, “My first paycheck wasn’t a paycheck, it was cash, which I won playing a match near my society. It was Rs 50 and obviously it was spent by eating roadside vada pav with my friends.”

3. When Rohit Sharma took a Pakistani journalist for a ride

Sharma relished the form of his life in the 2019 World Cup as he went on to hammer five centuries in the grandest of all stages. It was an absolute delight for the eyes, seeing the Mumbaikar crafting that expressive strokeplay with such brilliant command over his batting.

The day when India flattened out Pakistan in the fray, a journalist of the nation asked him in the best of spirits, “What will you suggest to Pakistani batsmen, to come out of this crisis?

Sharma realized that this was his cue to give everyone some laughs as he said, “Agar main Pakistan ka coach bana to bilkul bataunga (which roughly translates to: If I become Pakistan’s coach, I will definitely tell them)”.

4. When Rohit bashed the entire Indian media community with a simple statement

As Rohit went on to bash a blistering double century against South Africa, the media asked him about his feelings for the same.

This is when the Indian opener took his own sweet time and exposed the media in front of everyone with a smirk on his face.

He said, “Kafi Kuch hone wala thaa Nahin toh kaafi Kuch aap likh dete mere barein mein (which roughly translates to A lot could have happened had I not performed and you guys (media) would have written a lot about me)”

5. When Rohit took it on him to blast a journalist with a somewhat monologue

This was a topic where the Indian Hitman wasn’t even involved, neither by any chance was his country enmeshed in this. Shakib Al Hasan was banned from international cricket for failing to report match-fixing approaches.

The journalists wanted to dig some juice out of the situation as they asked Rohit’s opinion on the same.

The direct man that Rohit is, seemed visibly irked by the question and said, “I am not ICC”.

6. When Sharma was once again angry after being asked about Farokh Engineer’s comment on Anushka Sharma

In a heated situation in Delhi, Farokh Engineer was explosive against Anushka Sharma as the former Indian wicket-keeper did not hold back his fire and was evidently subjected to the scanner.

Sharma by no chance was close to this incident and expressed his discontent about the incident in a crisp manner.

He said, “Neither am I the President nor the captain, a regular captain. So what should I say about this?  So, ask him [Farokh Engineer] why did he say that? I haven’t said anything, so, what should I say? I cannot go into Farokh Sir’s head and see why he said that.
