One of the most famous English all-rounders, Andrew Flintoff, decided to retire from this field in the year 2010 post his mental stress issues and habits of drinking along with the reduced form in the area.

He told the Guardian that, “I didn’t understand what was happening to me. I knew when I got back to my room, I couldn’t shut off, which is why I started having a drink. It got to the stage where I was probably drinking more than I should”.

I can’t thank my teammates enough, both past and present, and the ECB for being supporters and friends along my journey. I am incredibly proud of my career.
