Team India has started the 2021 T20 World Cup in a terrible fashion. The team is almost out of the competition, having lost the first two encounters against Pakistan and New Zealand. In this article, we take a look at a few Twitter reactions which prove that India missed Iyer, Dhawan and Chahal in the T20 World Cup.
India missed Dhawan and Chahal in both games
While against Pakistan, India lost by 10 wickets, Virat Kohli‘s men lost the New Zealand encounter by eight scalps. It was poor performance in all departments of the game by India. Having used the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shreyas Iyer in recent years, many felt that the trio could have helped Team India do better. The batting collapses could have been avoided with Dhawan and Iyer while the bowling shows had the chances of improvement with Chahal around.

A major section of Twitter users also felt the same. With the trio of experienced cricketers in the XI, many felt that India could have at least competed. At the moment, unless Afghanistan wins over New Zealand and then India wins against all three opponents by a heavy margin, a qualification to semis is impossible.

Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma as openers were perfect.
Shreyas Iyer is a better batsman than Hardik Pandya.
Chahal is a better spinner than Varun Chakravorty.
