The upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy between the hosts Indian cricket team and visiting team Australia is set to be a massive one for both the teams as much relies on this series in-terms for both the teams.
The Indian cricket team displayed some dominating performance in the recently concluded Sri Lanka and New Zealand white ball series while Australia also dominated against South Africa at their own ground.
But now, the Aussie Kangaroos are now visiting India for a all important 4 match Test series against the hosts. For Australia, it is about pride and beating India at home, which they have failed to do so. Whereas for the Indian cricket team, they need to atleast not lose the series to make it to the World Test Championship 2021-2023 final, that will also be against Australia in June this year.
The Australian cricket team is this time very much desparate to beat the Indian cricket team in India, which many teams have failed to do so.
For India, off-spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has been a tough one to digest for any opposition batsman. As such, the Aussies have hired Indian spin bowler Mahesh Pithiya to help them prepare to against Ashwin as Pithiya has a similar bowling action to as Ashwin.
And it is also being reported that Australia’s main batsman Steve Smith is facing him for hours in the nets and Pithiya has reportedly dismissed him twice during the session.
Meanwhile, Twitter feels whatever they try, Ravichandran Ashwin always bring up something new and gets the better of the batsman.
