The 2nd match of the 2 match Test series between Pakistan cricket team and the New Zealand cricket team also ended in a draw after the 1st match had ended in a draw. As such, both the teams had to share the Trophy.
The Pakistan cricket team and the Pakistan cricket has been heavily criticised for the flat used for the matches. It was no different in this series as well.
Batting first, New Zealand team scored 449 runs with a century from Devon Conway and huge contributions from Tom Latham, Tom Blundell and Matt Henry.
In the 2nd inning, the Pakistan team also scored 408 runs in response. Saud Shakeel scored a century while important contributions came from Sarfaraz Ahmed and Imam-ul-Haq.
The match was turned interesting when New Zealand took a brave declaration call on their 2nd inning and declared for 277 runs, setting a target of 319 runs for Pakistan. While chasing, the Pakistan inning fumbled, but in the end it was Sarfaraz Ahmed who rescued the team with his 118 runs and saved the match.
Meanwhile, today, the new PCB Chairman Najam Sethi took to social media saying that he tried his best to prepare a sporting pitch. But the fans didn’t agree with his statement and believed that it was New Zealand’s declaration that made the match interesting.
Hope cricket lovers approve of our hectic efforts to make a sporting pitch for the second Test match in Karachi! What a great game it turned out to be!

If it were not of NZ declaration at 277-5 there was no possible result. Pitch was again a flat road.
That was not a perfect pitch but it was better than previous pitches do prepare good pitches for next test home season 👍

Sethi sb sporting pitch? Credit goes to southe only for declaration and PAK’s volatile batting which made contest intresting. Nothing in the pitch.

@najamsethi consider’s Karachi pitch as sporting that was slow and had very low bounce
