Ravindra Jadeja, or goes by the nickname Sir Jadeja, gave Team India solid finish in the ongoing 1st Test match against Sri Lanka. The batsman remained not out for 175 runs as Team India declared the inning, promting a number of fans to ask question in the team’s decision to declare and not letting Jadeja complete his double century.

Team India is currently playing the 1st Test match of the 2 match series in Mohali’s Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindi Stadium. Day 2’s play so far has been all about Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 175 runs not out before Team India declared the inning just before the Tea Break.

At the time of Tea Break, Team India has put on 574 runs on the board for the loss of 8 wickets before Team India declared the inning. Ravindra Jadeja remained not out for 175 runs, while Mohammed Shami remained not out for well made 20 runs, putting up a strong 103 runs partnership with Jadeja.

Even though the score of 574 gives India a hope of a big win, the Indian team’s fans were certainly not happy with the decision to declare the inning, and not allowing Ravindra Jadeja to complete his double century, which the fans were pretty eager for.

Talking about the match, it really is a very special match for Team India, as the whole country is celebrating former India captain Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match. The batting mystero missed out on his fifty by just 5 runs, while wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant was really unlucky to have missed out on a century yesterday, missing out by just 4 runs and fell pray to the Nervous 90s.

But, right from the beginning of the day 2’s play, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin kept on their scoreboard running, till the latter was dismissed for 61 runs.

Jadeja was later well supported by Mohammed Shami, which allowed the former continue his great inning to even greater heights.
