The same is finally confirmed today after the Indian team’s selection meeting earlier today. Rohit Sharma will now lead the Indian team in white ball cricket (T20I and ODI), while Virat Kohli will continue to captain the side in the red ball cricket, that is Test cricket.

As for the Indian team’s squad for the upcoming 3 match Test series against South Africa later this month, the BCCI has announced a 18 member squad for the series, along with 4 reserve or standby players.
