The third match of the ICC World Test Championship series between the Indian cricket team and the South African cricket team is currently underway at Newlands in Cape Town. The Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first. The rivalry between Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen continued in this Test match.
The Indian cricket team got off to a decent start but none of the players except Virat Kohli could play a big knock. Although Kohli could not complete his 71st international century, he played a top-quality innings of 79 runs and helped the Indian cricket team post a 223-run total on the board. Cheteshwar Pujara supported him with a 77-ball 43, while Rishabh Pant scored a 50-ball 27 for the visitors.
Kagiso Rabada was the best bowler for South Africa, returning with figures of 4/73 in 22 overs. Youngster Marco Jansen backed him up well with a three-wicket haul, while Duanne Olivier, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi scalped a wicket each for the home side.
In reply, South Africa were all out for 210 runs. Keegan Petersen continued his fine form and scored another half-century for the South African cricket team, whereas Temba Bavuma chipped in with a 28-run knock.
