MS Dhoni’s heartful gesture of not charging money for being India’s mentor
A couple of weeks ago, BCCI announced the Indian Team for the T20 World Cup. While the squad had many surprises, the selection of MS Dhoni as the mentor of the unit came out of nowhere. This also led the fans to rejoice because this decision meant that MS Dhoni would be seen in the blue jersey again, although not as a player.
Now, the reports have come out that the legendary cricketer would not even be charging for the crucial role that he will operate in at the upcoming event. Confirming the news, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, “MS Dhoni is not charging any honorarium for his services as the mentor of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup.”
Dhoni is currently playing in the Indian Premier League. He has led CSK to the IPL finals for the ninth time. It was his knock of 18(6)* that applied the finishing touches in Qualifier 1.
Twitter reacts to the news

India will benefit hugely from the presence of MSD in the dressing room. Dhoni has been there and has done it before.
