India win the warm-up fixture against Australia

After a satisfactory win against England, India was looking forward to a challenge by the full-strength Australian squad. At the toss, Rohit Sharma said that Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami would not take part in the game.

The Indian bowlers did a decent job as the Aussies were restricted to 152 runs in the first innings. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma put up a brilliant show and later on, Suryakumar Yadav came to the party as India won the game by nine wickets.

At the toss, Rohit jokingly said that Virat, SKY and himself could act as the sixth bowler. However, it turned out to be true as Virat came to bowl in the seventh over of the innings. He again bowled in the 13th over. In two overs, Virat gave away just 12 runs. The Indian skipper had last bowled in a T20I game in 2016 and hence, Twitter was amused when he picked up the ball.
