India could not have imagined a worse start to their T20 World Cup campaign. They were handed a demoralizing 10-wicket defeat by arch-rivals Pakistan. India off to a terrible start
Put in to bat first, India’s loss was written in the first few overs itself. Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi removed the openers quickly and later, Hasan Ali took Suryakumar Yadav‘s wicket. With this, India first had to stabilize first and then up the run-scoring. While they achieved the former, they could not accomplish the latter.
With the ball, India looked listless as the Pakistani openers scored runs freely. They took calculated risks, but India just did not seem threatening. In the process, Pakistan clinched a massive 10-wicket victory against India. With this, they have ceased the streak and have made it 12-1 in the World Cup.
