The defending champions, Team India are all gearing up to lock horns with their arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday (August 28) to kick off their Asia Cup 2022 campaign. The Men in Blue started their practice session on Wednesday with the determination to sweat hard ahead of the six-team event.

The event will also mark the return of Virat Kohli who played his last game against England in July. Kohli participated in six games across all formats in England’s tour, ending up with 20 being his highest score. His last international century came in November 2019. He was given a rest for the following West Indies and Zimbabwe tours.

It is evident that the former Indian skipper has been struggling with the bat for quite some time now. Thus, the giant batter would be hoping to find his rhyme back and remain in good touch ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.

The 33-year-old batter spent a long time in the nets on Wednesday to prepare for the Asian title alongside other Indian cricketers. He was seen batting with intent and hitting biggies against spinners. He stepped down the track against the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Ashwin and even chucked to himself when he missed connecting one of the deliveries properly.
