The 24th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, with the Rajasthan Royals taking on the Gujarat Titans. In a unique moment, former rivals Ravichandran Ashwin and Jos Buttler are batting together for the Rajasthan Royals right now.
Most members of the cricket universe would know that the duo had a fight when the Punjab Kings battled the Rajasthan Royals during one of the previous Indian Premier League seasons. Ravichandran ran Buttler out when the latter left his crease at the non-striker’s end before the delivery was bowled.
Soon after, the umpire ruled Buttler out, and there was a massive debate in the cricketing circles about the Spirit of Cricket. However, now, both players are playing together for the Rajasthan Royals. Not many fans would have thought that they would see Ravichandran and Jos batting together one day.
However, the day has come now as Sanju Samson surprisingly promoted Ravichandran to the number three position in today’s match against the Gujarat Titans. After Devdutt Padikkal fell for a golden duck, Ashwin joined hands with Buttler in the middle.
