It was a thrilling match, where both teams scored more than 200 runs. Hardik Pandya was the best batter as he scored 71 runs off just 30 balls. However, his memorable knock went in vain because the Indian bowlers could not defend the 209-run target in the second innings.

Pandya took to Twitter after the match and posted four photos of himself from the game. He wrote in the caption that they will learn from their mistakes. Here’s what Pandya wrote:

While most fans praised Pandya for his splendid performance, Pakistani actress Sehar Shenwari jokingly replied to him and asked him to lose against the Pakistan cricket team on October 23 in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

“Please lose next match to Pakistan on 23rd October you will learn more from it,” Sehar wrote.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma praised Hardik Pandya after the match

Speaking with Murali Kartik at the post-match presentation, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma expressed his disappointment over the way the Men in Blue lost the match despite scoring 208 runs in 20 overs. Sharing his views on the match, Sharma said:

“You can’t score 200 everyday no matter how good the wicket is. Hardik batted really well in the end to get that score for us. But the bowling is something we need to look at now.”

The second T20I of the India vs. Australia series will take place on September 23. It will be interesting to see if the Men in Blue can keep the series alive.
