Yuzvendra Chahal has issued a clarification on his relationship with wife Dhanashree Verma after rumours of their separation spread like wildfire. The leggie recently made the headlines after he posted a cryptic post on Instagram, which led the fans to believe that the lovely couple is breaking up.
Chahal posted a story on Instagram that read ‘New life Loading’, leaving the fans in doubt. It was followed by the choreographer wife, who removed surname ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram handle. On top of that, a parody account of ANI aired the news that Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma have filed for a divorce in Punjab Court on Thursday (18 August).
However, denying all the rumours, the cricketer took it to Instagram to issue a clarity. He asked people to stop believing in the baseless rumours about his relationship with wife and also urged people to stop spreading the rumours.
The lovely couple tied knot in December 2020 after meeting each other on Instagram. The couple regular posts each other’s pictures on social media and is one of the most adored couples in the cricketing world. Dhanashree was even seen lending support to her husband during IPL 2022 from stands. She also accompanied her husband during Ireland tour.
The 32-year-old cricketer is not a part of India’s squad for Zimbabwe series as he has been given a rest. The leggie has been in a top-notch form in the recent series. He will be back in action in Asia Cup 2022, when India will lock horns with Pakistan in their tournament opener.
Chahal will have a bigger role to play for the Men in Blue in the absence of India’s experienced pace duo Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, who ruled out of the multi-nation tournament due to injuries.
