Cricketers have become multi-taskers in the modern era. The cricket fans would have observed that Dinesh Karthik worked as a commentator in ICC World Test Championship Final 2021. Just a few weeks before that, he was playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
Even in 2023, Karthik turned up for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and then joined the commentary team in England for coverage of The Ashes and The Hundred. Even Venkatesh Iyer appeared on the shows of Star Sports as an expert during the IPL playoffs matches.

1. One of the retired Indian cricketers – Gautam Gambhir
Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir retired from international cricket long back. He now works a lot of jobs. He has entered politics, and he also works as a commentator for Star Sports. Apart from that, Gambhir is also the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants team in the Indian Premier League.
In 2023, Gambhir has turned up as a player in two competitions. He captained the India Maharajas in Legends League Cricket and is currently leading the New Jersey Triton’s in US Masters T10.
2. Kieron Pollard
Kieron Pollard announced retirement from IPL after the 2022 season. He had already retired from international cricket at that time. Pollard was soon appointed as the batting coach of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL. The Caribbean legend continues to play in other T10 and T20 leagues.
3. Dwayne Bravo
Another former West Indies all-rounder to feature on this list is Dwayne Bravo. The former Caribbean cricket captain is a bowling coach of the Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL. Bravo continues to participate as a player in the other leagues.
