The IPL matches are the most-followed T20 league games in the world. No other league’s matches get as much viewership as the Indian Premier League. Many fans consider that in a T20 tournament like the IPL, performing well as a bowler is a very tough task because the batters look to take more risks.

However, the following four bowlers proved the fans wrong. They not only bowled well in the death overs but helped their teams defend 6 or less than six runs under pressure in a run-chase during the final over of IPL matches. Here is the list.

1. Kartik Tyagi

The latest name to feature on this list is Kartik Tyagi. The Rajasthan Royals speedster bowled a dream last over against the Punjab Kings recently, where he conceded only one run. PBKS needed four to win. The team lost two wickets and managed to score one run only to lose the match in a shocking manner during the 6 or fewer runs in the final over during the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League.

2. Munaf Patel

Another Indian fast bowler who accomplished this feat while playing for the Rajasthan Royals was Munaf Patel. He did it back in the year 2009 in a match against Mumbai Indians in South Africa. MI were 142/7, chasing 146 against RR. Munaf came in to bowl the last over and dismissed Dhawal Kulkarni LBW on the second ball. Soon after, Lasith Malinga and Chetanya Nanda got run out as MI lost by two runs.

3. Kuldeep Yadav

Unlike the first two entries, Kuldeep Yadav’s efforts did not help his team win, but he conceded less than six runs when DC needed six to win in a match against KKR in 2019. Yadav dismissed Hanuma Vihari on fifth ball and Colin Ingram got run out on the last ball as the match ended in a tie. DC won by Super Over ultimately.

4. Siddharth Trivedi

Indian fast bowler, Rajasthan Royals and a 2-run victory, this is the third such entry on this list. Siddharth Trivedi achieved this feat against Deccan Chargers in IPL 2010. DC were 154/7, with Rohit Sharma batting on 71*. They needed six more to win. Trivedi conceded only three runs, dismissed RP Singh and Rohit Sharma, while Harmeet Singh got run out as DC lost by two runs.
