    IPL 2023 Auction will take place this Friday in Kochi. 405 players have made it to the final list of the players to be auctioned. There are 87 slots vacant in the 10 franchises of the Indian Premier League. Only a maximum 87 out of 405 players will return home with an IPL contract on December 23.

    Fans should note that the BCCI initially sent a list of 991 players to the 10 IPL teams. From that list, the teams selected 369 names and added 36 other names as well. From the 369 names, there are 273 Indian players and 132 players from overseas nations, four of which are from associate nations.
