IPL 2023 Auction will take place this Friday in Kochi. 405 players have made it to the final list of the players to be auctioned. There are 87 slots vacant in the 10 franchises of the Indian Premier League. Only a maximum 87 out of 405 players will return home with an IPL contract on December 23.
Fans should note that the BCCI initially sent a list of 991 players to the 10 IPL teams. From that list, the teams selected 369 names and added 36 other names as well. From the 369 names, there are 273 Indian players and 132 players from overseas nations, four of which are from associate nations.

1. Kartik Meiyappan is in IPL Auction 2023
UAE’s hat-trick hero from the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, Kartik Meiyappan is one of the players in the auction list. Meiyappan was quite impressive during the mega event in Australia this year. He has also worked as a net bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
2. David Wiese is in IPL Auction 2023
Namibian all-rounder David Wiese is aiming to make a return to the Indian Premier League this year. He played his last season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore back in the year 2016.
3. Ruben Trumpelmann
Another player from the Namibian squad to feature on this list is the team’s fast bowler Ruben Trumpelmann. It will be interesting to see if he earns his maiden IPL contract this year.
4. Paul van Meekeren
Netherlands all-rounder Paul van Meekeren has done well in the shortest format of the game. He could become the second Dutch player to earn an IPL deal after Ryan ten Doeschate if any team bids for him.
