One of the earliest pairs of father and son to achieve this unique feat was the duo of Lala Amarnath and Surinder Amarnath. The Amarnath family produced many cricketers for India during the previous century. Lala Amarnath was the first one from his family to represent the country.

Almost 30 years after Lala’s debut, his 15-year-old son Surinder also decided to make a career on the cricket field. Although they did not play for the same team together, they were on the track at the same time when Maharashtra Chief Minister’s XI battled Maharashtra Governor’s XI. Both players played for opposite teams.

Willie Quaife played over 700 first-class games in England. The extremely talented batsman scored over 36,000 runs in his legendary career. His son, Bernard also followed his footsteps as he became a cricketer soon.
