T20I cricket has become one of the most popular forms of the game. The format is short, entertaining and forces the players to bring something new to the table. Thanks to the popularity of T20I cricket, fans have got to witness some new types of shots and new types of deliveries in the sport.

The importance of players’ roles has also increased in T20I cricket. It is not necessary that a batsman should play a big knock in T20I cricket. Sometimes, even cameos are more useful in this format. Hence, teams do not drop such players, but that ddoes not mean that these cricketers cannot record big scores. Still, they have not done so in their T20I careers. In this listicle, we will look at five popular players who have not scored a single half-century in their T20 international career.

1. Hardik Pandya’s highest score in T20I cricket is 42*

Hardik Pandya is one of the best all-rounders of this generation. He can turn the game with his batting, bowling and fielding. Unfortunately, his back injury has forced him to bowl lesser, but that does not mean that Pandya is no longer a match-winner for India in T20Is.

The right-handed batsman played some fantastic knocks against Australia last year. However, Hardik has never touched the 50-run mark in the T20I arena. His highest score in this format has been 42*.

2. Andre Russell

Another star all-rounder to feature on this list is West Indies’ hard-hitter Andre Russell. Like Hardik Pandya, Russell is a cricketer who can turn the game in his team’s favor with his brilliance in the three departments.

Russell has played many game-changing knocks for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL and even touched the 50-run mark. However, in T20Is, Russell has aggregated 540 runs in 41 innings, with his highest score being 47.

3. Ben Stokes

It is a bit surprising to know that Ben Stokes has never scored a fifty for England in the shortest format of the game. Stokes is one of the top all-rounders in the world.

Stokes has scored multiple IPL hundreds in his career. However, when one considers his numbers in the shortest format of the game at the international level, Stokes has never scored more than 47 runs in one T20I inning.

4. Dinesh Karthik’s highest score in T20I cricket is 48

Dinesh Karthik has been one of the best finishers for Team India in the white-ball arena. The right-handed batsman became very popular after his knock against Bangladesh in the Nidahas Trophy.

Karthik was a part of the Indian playing XI that played a T20I match for the first time against South Africa in 2006. Thus far, the Tamil Nadu-based star has scored 399 T20I runs for India, with his highest score being 48.

5. Chris Lynn

Unlike the above-mentioned names, Chris Lynn mostly bats in the team’s top order. The right-handed batsman has played 18 T20I matches for the Australian cricket team so far, but he is yet to register a half-century.

Speaking of his numbers in T20Is, Lynn has amassed 291 runs at an average of 19.40. He is a fantastic player in the shorter formats, but at the international level, his highest T20I score has been 44 only.
