Getting hit wicket in any format of the game is one of the rarest dismissals fans will see in international cricket. A player who plays at the international level has years of cricket experience. The batters have idea of their playing style, and the distance from the stumps. Thus, it is rare to see someone losing their wicket by hit wicket, especially in the T20I format.

The Indian cricket team made its T20I debut back in the year 2006. And in the last 15 years, there have been only two Indian batters who have lost their wicket by hit wicket in T20I cricket history. In all, there have been six players from Asia. In this listicle today, we will look at the six Asian players who have got out hit wicket in the shortest format of the game.

1. Mohammad Hafeez

Veteran Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is the only Asian player to have lost his wicket by hitting his own stumps after scoring 50+ runs in a T20I match. Hafeez scored 86 runs in that T20I played in 2013, and he had a strike rate of 168.62 in that match against South Africa. Rory Kleinveldt was the bowler.
