Jaydev Unadkat performed extremely well while playing for Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2017. The franchise left the tournament next year as CSK and RR made their way back to the league. RR spent a lot of money to sign Unadkat.

However, the left-arm pacer crumbled under the pressure of his price tag, eventually leading to his release. Surprisingly, RR went after him once again and bid aggressively to sign in 2019. Unadkat could not succeed much, leading to his release again. This time, they have signed him for a lesser amount as Unadkat will don the RR jersey in 2020.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have played three IPL finals in their journey so far. However, the last three years have not been great for them as they have struggled to make it past the first round of the competition.

In 2017, Bangalore made a massive auction blunder as they spent 12 Crores for Tymal Mills after the English pace bowler’s good performance against India. Sadly, his injury issues did not allow Mills to play much as RCB’s bid went in vain.

Like 2018, there was a mega auction in 2011 because Pune Warriors India and Kochi Tuskers Kerala joined the league. Saurabh Tiwary impressed while playing for MI in 2010 while Rohit Sharma played for Deccan Chargers till 2010.

The Chargers and Indians released their upcoming stars. RCB had the golden chance of signing Rohit in the auction. They even kept him on their wishlist. However, they decided to spend their money on Saurabh Tiwary and the rest is history.
