Ben Stokes stole the show in IPL 2017 as his all-round brilliance helped Rising Pune Supergiant reach their maiden IPL final. Although they could not win the title, Stokes left a lasting impact in the competition.

The Englishman could have done the same job for SRH that year because The Orange Army almost managed to sign him in the auction that year. However, they let him go to Pune and then regretted their decision.

This will always remain the biggest blunder in IPL history. Delhi Daredevils had got the first chance to pick a player from the U-19 Draft of 2008. Virat Kohli was the captain of India U-19s and also the skipper of Delhi.

Still, the Daredevils ignored him and picked Pradeep Sangwan. Twelve years have passed, today Kohli is the highest run-getter in IPL history, while Sangwan is nowhere to be seen. Sangwan had the potential to be a great fast bowler, but his career dwindled after joining Delhi.
