Sri Lanka’s right-handed batsman Dinesh Chandimal was known for his brilliance with the bat when Rajasthan Royals signed him in IPL 2012. Surprisingly, the franchises have neglected him consistently in the auctions. Kings XI Punjab was heavily rumored to sign him in IPL 2020 because they needed a captain, and Root has immense experience as a captain. However, they opted to leave him alone and instead elected KL Rahul as their new skipper.
