India has produced some of the best cricketers in the sport’s history over the last few decades. Kapil Dev led the Indian team to the World Cup in 1983, and then the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and many others made a name for themselves by playing well for the Men in Blue.

From the names mentioned above, MS Dhoni has made a massive impact on Indian cricket. The Ranchi-based wicket-keeper batsman revolutionized the role of a keeper batsman. His unorthodox shots helped him achieve a lot of success. Also, his captaincy skills helped India win the 2011 World Cup, the 2013 Champions Trophy, and even the 2007 T20 World Cup.

His fitness is of next level as even at the closing stage of his career, Dhoni can outrun the youngsters of the team in a running race. Not every player is so fit as Dhoni, which is why seven cricketers announced their retirement even after they debuted after the former Indian captain. The following list details the same.

Ambati Rayudu became a well-known name in the country after his incredible performances for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He was India’s first-choice number four batsman not long ago, but his poor form ahead of the 2019 World Cup forced the selectors to drop him. Ultimately, Rayudu announced his retirement. Although he later stated that he would love to come back, the probability of his return is negligible.

6.RP Singh

RP Singh was the star bowler for India in the 2007 T20 World Cup. He was the trump card of MS Dhoni. His success could have been one of the reasons why Dhoni had him in the Rising Pune Supergiant squad in the IPL. However, the former Purple Cap winner failed to replicate his past success and announced his retirement.
