2.MS Dhoni on fight between Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan
Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan have often stated in their interviews that they are very close to each other. However, in 2014, when India toured Australia, a rumor spread like wildfire that there was a rift between the two Indian batsmen.
MS Dhoni was the captain of the team and he answered the question of their dispute as follows:
“Actually that was the case. Virat used a knife. He stabbed Shikhar, who just recovered out of that then we pushed him to bat. These are all stories. Marvel, maybe Warner Bros or somebody should pick up this and make a nice a movie out of it.”
1.MS Dhoni on not using Harbhajan Singh
Harbhajan Singh was a part of Mumbai Indians till 2017 and in 2018, CSK picked him in the auction. MS Dhoni used him smartly. However, he did not ask Singh to bowl a single over in the Qualifier 1 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
When asked to explain his move in the press conference, Dhoni answered: “I have quite a few cars and bikes in my garage, I don’t ride all at a time.”
“When you have six to seven bowlers in your side, you want to see the conditions. You want to see who is batting and what is needed at that point in time. In the past, we had Negi and Jadeja, and I gave them different slots of bowling. And the unreal thing is that a lot of times the player gets criticised at times for what the batsman is doing,” he added.
