Mukesh Choudhary made his debut for the Chennai Super Kings earlier this month in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. He has received an opportunity to play for the Chennai-based franchise since Deepak Chahar is unavailable. While Mukesh proved to be expensive in the first few matches, he bowled an excellent opening spell against the Mumbai Indians tonight.

The first El Clasico match of IPL 2022 is currently underway at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and decided to bowl first. He entrusted Choudhary with the responsibility to bowl the first over, and the left-arm fast bowler did not disappoint.

Mukesh Choudhary dismissed Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma for a two-ball duck. In the same over, he bowled a perfect yorker to clean up Ishan Kishan as well. Ishan had no answer to Choudhary’s delivery as he fell on the pitch, with his off-stump uprooted.

Before the match began, Kishan had a chat with the host broadcasters, where he expressed his views on the match against Chennai Super Kings.

“I think this is the biggest match of every season since both Mumbai and Chennai are very good sides and have always been so from the first season. It’s important for us to win so we will just go out and play normally with the same intensity that we always follow,” said Kishan.
