The Australian women’s cricket team has achieved enormous success on the field in recent years. However, their behavior off the field has not been the best. Recently, Alyssa Healy took a shot at the Indian cricket fans on social media after they complained about how Tahlia McGrath was allowed to play in the Commonwealth Games 2022 Final despite testing positive for COVID-19.

In normal matches, whenever a player tests positive for COVID-19, he is not allowed to play in that game, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has also introduced a provision for Covid replacement in case a player tests positive for COVID-19 during the course of a Test match.

Earlier this year, just before the ICC World Test Championship match between the Indian cricket team and the England cricket team, captain Rohit Sharma tested positive for COVID-19. He did not receive permission to play in the match. Jasprit Bumrah made his captaincy debut in a high-pressure match, and India lost the match.

Because of some special rules, Tahlia McGrath received permission to play in a team sport’s final during the Commonwealth Games 2022. While she could not make much of an impact in the game, fans were unhappy with the way she got to play despite having COVID-19.
