The 45th match of IPL 2022 is underway between the Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants, where Mitchell Marsh impressed fans with his clean-hitting. The Australian all-rounder is playing for the Delhi Capitals for the first time in his IPL career, and after an uneventful debut, he seems to have regained his form today.

Marsh played an excellent knock of 37 runs off just 20 deliveries, smashing three fours and three sixes. However, the manner in which he got out against the Lucknow Super Giants has raised a few eyebrows. Facing off-spinner Krishnappa Gowtham, Marsh attempted to play the delivery but seemingly got an outside edge.

The ball went into the gloves of wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock, who took the catch as the Lucknow Super Giants appealed for caught behind. The umpire raised his finger as Marsh returned to the dressing room. It seemed like Marsh would have nicked that one. However, the replays showed that there was no connection between the bat and the ball off that particular delivery from Gowtham.

Fans were shocked to see no spike in the ultra-edge as it looked like if the Delhi Capitals opted to take a DRS for that decision, Marsh would have remained in the middle. It has started a discussion on Twitter, with some fans feeling that the Delhi Capitals star would have nicked it and there might have been a technical error.

Some fans opined that the Delhi-based franchise missed a trick by not reviewing that decision because Marsh was in great touch and had a great 50-run partnership with Rishabh Pant off just 16 balls.
