“Captaincy masterclass”- Twitter reacts as Hardik Pandya saves 1 over of Rashid Khan for Dinesh Karthik and Rashid gets his wicket

The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway in Maharashtra right now, where debutants Gujarat Titans have stolen the show with their fantastic performances. Captain Hardik Pandya has done a phenomenal job, and he has been the prime reason behind GT’s success. He has batted, bowled, fielded and captained to his maximum potential.

Speaking of the match between the Gujarat Titans and the Royal Challengers Bangalore which is underway right now, Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first at the Brabourne Stadium. It is Hardik’s 100th match as a player in the IPL.

In a brief interview with Simon Doull at the toss, Hardik said:

“To be honest, I was just thinking that I’ve come quite a long way. 2015 was when it all started and today I’m leading a side, it was obviously a dream. I’m proud of myself. We would have liked to bat first as well, just because of the heat as well but I don’t think the wicket is going to change much.”

Pandya has been very a smart skipper, and in the ongoing match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Gujarat Titans captain saved one over of his star bowler Rashid Khan. The leg-spinner has a great record against Dinesh Karthik. Since Karthik has been in top form in IPL 2022, Pandya decided to save one over of the bowler who could have troubled him the most.
