Faf du Plessis became the new captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The Bangalore-based franchise announced their new skipper at the RCB Unbox event earlier today in Bengaluru. Faf was also present at the venue, and he expressed his excitement to take over the new position.
The former South African star previously played for the Chennai Super Kings and the Rising Pune Supergiants in the IPL. He has played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni in most of the seasons, and now he is all set to captain an IPL franchise for the first time in his career.
