The 36th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is in the history books, and the top two teams on the points table at the moment are Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Not many fans gave GT and SRH a chance when IPL 2022 began, but the two teams have silenced their critics in style with their back-to-back wins.

The Hyderabad-based franchise registered their fifth win of IPL 2022 earlier tonight by defeating the Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine wickets. SRH bowled RCB out for just 68 runs after winning the toss and electing to field first at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Kane Williamson and men then chased the 69-run target in just eight overs.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, skipper Kane Williamson said:

“It was one of those days really, wasn’t it? There was a little bit in the air and the guys bowled beautifully. We caught well too. For things to unfold like that, you need a bit going your way and obviously, we got that today. It was an outstanding performance, but a lot went our way. So for us, it’s about looking for the next challenge.”
