MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli were the captains of the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchises in the last season of the Indian Premier League. It had become a habit for the fans to see the two players at the toss whenever there was a match between CSK and RCB in the IPL. However, that will end in IPL 2022.
Kohli stepped down as the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team last year, whereas Dhoni has stepped down as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings today. Earlier today, CSK issued a statement on their official website which reads:
“MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond.”
Fans on Twitter were emotional after realizing that MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli will not play against each other as captains
The rivalry between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli always attracted many fans to the IPL. From this year onwards, Ravindra Jadeja will come out for the toss for the Chennai Super Kings, whereas Faf du Plessis will do that duty for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In this article now, we will look at the best Twitter reactions to the fact that we have seen last games of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli against each other as captains in IPL.
It is going to be so weird not seeing Dhoni and Kohli walking out for CSK vs RCB toss. Used to be a wholesome moment.
