Fawad Alam has not had a memorable Test series against Australia so far. It is a historic occasion for both countries. However, Alam has not had a good time so far. In the first Test, he did not get a chance to bat in both innings. Captain Babar Azam did not give him an opportunity to bowl as well. Also, he did not take any catches.
After making history in the first Test, Alam took the field in Karachi for the second Test. Australia batted first in this game. The visitors batted for two days as Fawad Alam had to field under the sun for two days. Finally, today, Pakistan got a chance to bat when Australia declared the innings.
The home team lost wickets at regular intervals. Fawad got a chance to bat at number five after Pakistan lost the wickets of Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali. Mitchell Starc was on fire. He dismissed Azhar caught out, and on the next ball, he bowled a blazing in-swinging delivery to trap Alam LBW.
So after waiting seven days to get a chance to bat, Alam got out for a golden duck. Pakistan collapsed soon after his dismissal.
