Shaheen Afridi has made a name for himself with his excellent bowling performances in international cricket. He impressed the fans with his match-winning performance against the Indian cricket team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Afridi has also done well in Test cricket and ODI cricket.
At the moment, Shaheen Afridi is in England, where he is playing county cricket for the Middlesex county. The left-arm fast bowler is playing against his Pakistan teammate Mohammad Rizwan’s team Sussex right now. Sussex batted first in the game against Middlesex.
Captain Tom Haines opened the innings for Sussex along with Ali Orr. The two batters started cautiously and survived the first eight overs. Shaheen Afridi bowled the ninth over of the innings and bamboozled Haines with a dream delivery. The batter looked clueless as Afridi bowled at proper Test match length and rattled his stumps.
Later in the innings, Afridi scalped the wickets of Mason Crane and Aaron Beard to complete his three-wicket haul. He returned with figures of 3/97 from 27.4 overs in the first innings. He bowled three maiden overs, while his economy rate was 3.5 runs per over.
