The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) launched their new ODI jersey earlier today on social media. The English team is the defending champion of the 50-over World Cup. They will defend their crown next year in India, and before that mega event, Eoin Morgan and co. will play a few matches in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
Many fans would know that the English team has been quite successful in the 50-over format of late, and it should not be a surprise if they continue their domination in the coming months. But fans will see one thing different, and that is the jersey of the team.
ECB informed the fans on social media earlier today that they will launch the new ODI jersey during the day and will put it up for sale for the fans. The jersey looks very different compared to the jerseys of the other teams. Many fans have loved it, with some even asking their own cricket board to come up with such a creative jersey.
While the ECB have appointed a new captain for the new season in the longest format of the game, the ODI captain remains the same as Eoin Morgan will lead the country in the 50-over format. They will be keen to continue their good form in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and have momentum by their side, heading into the next mega event.
