The much-awaited RCB jersey for the IPL 2022 season has been finally released. The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to start on March 26 in Mumbai, and two weeks before the grand opening, the Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted a special event titled the RCB Unbox event.
In that big event, the Bangalore-based franchise announced Faf du Plessis as their new skipper. The South African star is all set to make his IPL captaincy debut this year. He was present at the RCB Unbox event along with other players of the team, including the likes of Dinesh Karthik, Luvnith Sisodia and Harshal Patel.
Many fans thought the Royal Challengers Bangalore would re-assign the reins of the team to Virat Kohli. However, the same did not happen. They have respected Kohli’s decision to move away from captaincy and play as a batter in the team.
After the announcement of the team captain, the Bangalore-based franchise unveiled their new jersey for the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. It has the same red and black touch, but this time around, RCB have a gradient theme, which is spotted in the teams of Big Bash League.
Earlier today, the Delhi Capitals also revealed their jersey, and many fans drew similarities between DC’s jersey and the England cricket team’s jersey.
