The 66th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway right now, where former champions Kolkata Knight Riders are locking horns with the Lucknow Super Giants. It is a do-or-die match for KKR, and so far, their performance has been quite disappointing. Varun Chakravarthy had a forgettable day in the middle.

Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and opted to bat first. The decision has worked in their favor as the opening pair of Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul has fired all cylinders. 19 overs have ended in the LSG innings and they are yet to lose a single wicket. Both Quinton and Rahul have enjoyed batting against the Kolkata Knight Riders bowling lineup.

While de Kock has notched up his second century in the Indian Premier League, Rahul has played the supporter’s role to perfection. Speaking at the toss earlier today, Rahul had said:

“The pitch looks a bit dry and it has been tough chasing in the last few games. We’ll try to get a good total and defend the score. We’ve done well in the tournament. Despite losing the last two games we sit in second place with 16 points. A couple of bad games is not going to change anything.”
