Jos Buttler stole show in the recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the England cricket team and the Netherlands cricket team with his supreme consistency. The wicket-keeper batter scored a 70-ball 162 in the first match and followed it up with a match-winning fifty in the third match of the series.
During the third match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the England cricket team and the Netherlands cricket team, there was a bizarre moment when the bowler bowled a delivery which bounced twice before reaching Buttler. It was way down the leg-side, but given the form that he is in, Buttler decided to punish the bowler with a six.
The video of that shot has gone viral, and it just shows that any type of delivery bowled to Buttler is unsafe these days. He was the captain of the England cricket team in the absence of Eoin Morgan yesterday, and here’s what he said at the post-match presentation:
“Yeah, I am happy. Feeling good about my own form, the plan is to just keep going. Happy with how the team has performed. We have a big summer ahead of us and having such a good squad depth is comforting. I think Carse and debutant Payne bowled really well. Big thanks to the Barmy Army for supporting us.”
