The 39th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway in Pune right now, with the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Rajasthan Royals locking horns at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to field first. At the end of the first innings, there was a heated exchange between Harshal Patel and Riyan Parag.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers did a great job in the first innings to keep Rajasthan Royals down to 144/8. RR managed to cross the 140-run mark because of a half-century from Riyan Parag, who impressed the fans with his boundary-scoring skills.
In the last over of the Rajasthan Royals innings, Riyan Parag took Harshal Patel to the cleaners. He scored 18 runs off the last over bowled by the IPL 2021 Purple Cap winner. Parag smacked two sixes and a four besides taking a double on the second ball of the over.
After the over ended, Parag returned to the dressing room, but on his way back, he had an exchange with Harshal. The two players had an argument, forcing the other players to intervene and stop. The fans could not see what happened eventually because the commercials aired soon after the argument began.
There was no mention about what happened, so probably, fans might come to know about the details of that incident in a later interview involving one of the two players.
