Not many fans knew about the talent of Ayush Badoni prior to the match between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. But now everyone is talking about the young lad because of his impressive innings on his Indian Premier League debut.
Playing for the new Lucknow Super Giants franchise on his Indian Premier League debut, Badoni came out to bat when the score was 32/4. Many fans were surprised when the team management of the Lucknow Super Giants decided to send Badoni above the experienced all-rounder Krunal Pandya who had played a lot of matches at the Wankhede Stadium in the past.
Also, more questions were being raised when Badoni played too many dot balls in the middle. However, the youngster silenced all his critics in style with a magnificent batting performance against the Gujarat Titans team. He switched to destruction mode when the Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya came in to bowl his over as he smacked him for a startling boundary in the fine leg region.
Just like former Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper batter AB de Villiers would score runs across the ground, Badoni showed that he can score runs with cheeky shots as well.
