San Francisco Unicorns vs MI New York MLC 2023
In the ongoing Major League Cricket 2023, Shadab Khan’s team San Francisco Unicorns played their first match of the tournament early in the morning against a very formidable MI New York, where they got the better of the New York team.
Batting first, the Unicorns lost 4 wickets for just 50 runs. But then, former New Zealand international Corey Anderson and Shadab Khan formed a brilliant 129 runs partnership to take them to 179 runs before Shadab was dismissed. Shadab scored 61 runs in 30 balls and eventually thanks to unbeaten 91 from Corey Anderson, Unicorns put 215 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets.
Despite valiant efforts from Nicholas Pooran, captain Kieron Pollard and Tim David, MI New York lost the match by 22 runs as they scored 193 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Shadab Khan picked 1 wicket with the ball in his 3 overs and conceded 32 runs.
