Harry Tector came into the spotlight after his impressive show in the two-match T20I series against the Indian cricket team. Playing for the Ireland cricket team, Tector scored a quickfire fifty in the first game and followed it up with a decent knock in the second match against the Indian cricket team.

At the moment, Tector is playing in an ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series against the New Zealand cricket team. He has started the series on a bright note as he scored his maiden ODI hundred in the first match of the series. His brilliant knock helped the Ireland cricket team score 300 runs in their 50 overs.

Speaking of the first match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League series between the Ireland cricket team and the New Zealand cricket team, the visitors won the toss in Dublin and decided to have a bowl first. The Ireland cricket team lost the wickets of their openers Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie cheaply.

Harry Tector came out to bat at number four and scored 113 runs off 117 deliveries. His innings consisted of 14 fours and three sixes. Fans should note that Tector was not a regular member in the Ireland cricket team just six months. Explaining the changes he made, he said in an interview with Sportskeeda recently:

“Maybe I now have a clearer mindset about pacing my innings and backing my strengths. As far as the shots are concerned, I think I could’ve hit those six months back as well. Batting at No. 4 has also helped me as I’m more used to that position. Batting at No. 6 or 7, meanwhile, is more about managing expectations.”
