Delhi Capitals has been the most improved team in the IPL recently, since Ricky Ponting has taken over as the Head Coach. But, before that, Delhi Capitals, or formerly Delhi Daredevils, was nowhere near that top 4.

For the past 2 or 3 seasons of the IPL, Delhi Capitals have made it through to the playoffs. But before that, they were just some meme material for fans. The franchise use to have some top players, but they all have failed for them, to name a few, AB de Villiers is best option.

The South African batsman has played for Delhi Daredevils, but was not upto the mark, whereas now, he is a top player in the IPL, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
