Yadav came out to bat when the Indian cricket team’s score was 31/3 at the end of five overs. The right-handed batter paced his innings in a splendid fashion and became the fifth Indian batter after Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suresh Raina and Deepak Hooda to score a century in the shortest format of the game at the international level.

Unfortunately, Yadav’s century ended in a losing cause today. The right-handed batter aggregated 117 runs off 55 deliveries, smashing 14 fours and six sixes. He batted at a strike rate of 212 and kept India’s hopes alive. India eventually fell short by 17 runs as they finished with 198/9 in 20 overs.
