Ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, all fans were excited to see which team signs Brevis because the South African U-19 cricket team star impressed everyone with his fantastic batting performances in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2022. The rising star of South African cricket earned the nickname of ‘Baby AB’ with his wonderful batting skills.

The Mumbai Indians signed him at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Quite a few members of the cricket universe believed that he would get a place in the Mumbai Indians playing XI straightaway. However, the same did not happen as the Mumbai Indians picked Daniel Sams, Tymal Mills, Kieron Pollard and Tim David as the four overseas players in the playing XI.

“Would’ve bowled first as well, it’s a fresh pitch, not sure what to expect, nonetheless the wicket looks good, there’ll be initial movement for sure. We have to adapt quickly here in Mumbai with pitches being fresh. We look forward to play in Mumbai with crowd in front, obviously there’s restriction with the capacity but it’s nice to see some crowd,” said Rohit Sharma at the toss.
