It will be the Gujarat Titans who will take on the Rajasthan Royals in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 tonight at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

While Gujarat Titans reached the finals after defeating Rajasthan in the first qualifier itself, the Rajasthan Royals reached the finals by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second qualifier. RCB’s team performed well this year under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis as he led the team to Qualifier 2 in his very first season as the team’s captain.

Virat Kohli left the captaincy of the Bangalore franchise last year. He too did well for RCB as a captain but that too could not help his team win the trophy. In such a situation, under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis, RCB fans had hoped that he might win the trophy but once again, their dreams were crushed and shattered.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar recently made a big statement regarding this. The former Indian cricketer called Faf du Plessis a better captain than Virat Kohli. Manjrekar said that many good things have happened with RCB this season and the most important among them is that Faf du Plessis was a better leader than Virat Kohli.

“RCB have had a slightly better season. Some good things have happened. Faf du Plessis has looked like a better leader than Virat Kohli, said Manjrekar.

He also added that having come this far in the season, they should know what went wrong at the last moment that gave them only the Bronze medal and not the Gold or Silver that everyone desires.
